#2 White Shades

White Shades, a chic new venue on Boon Tat Street, is a four-story concept with plenty of booze to go around. Discover alcohol-infused gelato at the ice cream parlour on the first floor and custom cocktails in the restaurant-bar on the second. Level three offers an events area perfect for any intimate private events, while the rooftop is a great place to kick back with some draft beer and cocktails

#3 The Elephant Room

The Elephant Room in Chinatown is an ode to the people and culture of Little India, as well as its distinctive palette of flavours. It sources all of its ingredients from in and around Tekka Market to produce a colourful assortment of cocktail ingredients, including ferments, distillates, jellies, and more. Decked out in wood, gold and vermillion, entering the bar feels just like stepping into India. And alongside its inventive cocktails are the bar’s spirits which are entirely sourced from India.

#4 Gibson

Another regular fixture on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list, Gibson is known for being one of the finest cocktail bars around. Try their namesake beverage, which is prepared with Roku Gin and handcrafted Ginjyo sake-vermouth, and served with homemade nukazuke, pickled onion and a smoked quail’s egg. Beyond that, there's plenty more to discover, such as a plethora of Asian-inspired twists on classic cocktails and a seafood-centric food menu.

#5 Fura

This innovative gastrobar is using low-carbon ingredients such as cell-cultured milk, burdock root and hemp seed coffee, as well as insect proteins, to make sustainable eating and drinking more approachable. Expect innovative items such as mealworm margaritas, jellyfish martinis, kelp ice-cream and black garlic “caviar”. But don’t worry, you won’t find anything that will make you squirm. They are so deftly incorporated that you won't even notice they're there.

#6 Sago House

Born amid Singapore's 2020 lockdown, Sago House was set up by three industry veterans and it’s already found a spot onto the Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. Everything you see here has plenty of heart and spirit, from the handcrafted interior made from repurposed materials to the weekly rotating drink menu inspired by the best local ingredients available.

#7 Tippling Club

Led by Chef-Owner Ryan Clift, Tippling Club spans three shophouse units at and features a bar and dining room. It may be one of the oldest cocktail bar in Singapore, having opened its doors in 2008, but the focus here is on sustainability as much as creativity and modernist methods. The ever-evolving menu of cocktails features concoctions referencing artists like Basquiat to creations like Full Fathom that’s made with pepper, vodka, eucalyptus and walnut.

Brand new in the ‘hood is Brooklyn Bar Sg, where you can expect drinks to be no less impressive than any of the other top popular cocktail bars in the area. Paying homage to hip-hop culture, 12 tipples on the cocktail menu are divided into four parts: Graffiti, B Boy, Emcee, and Dee Jay. Here at The Guild, what you get is generous pours of craft beer from Hong Kong’s largest independent craft brewery, Young Masters. #20 Moonstone Bar

Art studio and creative space by day, alcoholic and degenerate refuge by night, Moonstone Bar is not your average watering hole. Among their collection of distinctive drinks, the Space Jem is undoubtedly one of the more approachable ones due to its unabashed sweetness, burst of citrus, and unique tutti-fruity appeal. The whisky base, specifically Monkey Shoulder Scotch, provides a clean flavour of vanilla and a tinge of orange, which is accentuated by a fleeting spice note. Berry compote and fresh lemon juice complete the cocktail's pinkish hue.
