20 Stalls to Try at Ci Yuan Hawker Centre

Ci Yuan Hawker Centre is the very first food centre in Singapore to be located in a community club. Managed by the social enterprise subsidiary of Fei Siong Group, the food centre has a mix of established hawkers as well as young hawkers who went through Fei Siong’s hawker-preneurship program. The program pairs retiring hawkers with budding entrepreneurs, with the objectives of encouraging and providing these young people with a chance to operate their own food stalls as well as to preserve our local traditional hawker food heritage. At Ci Yuan Hawker Centre, food options range from local favourites like chicken rice and fried hokkien mee to other international food items like Shanghainese guo tie and xiao long bao, Western food fare as well as Japanese cuisine. Apart from! Without further ado, let’s delve into the best stalls to try at Ci Yuan Hawker Centre.

#1 Jue Dai Lor Mee

Jue Dai Lor Mee seems to be quite the hit with a frequent queue here, and you’ll have not one, or two, but four different variations of lor mee here: Yam Roll Lor Mee, Chicken Cutlet Lor Mee, Traditional Lor Mee and Cod Fish Lor Mee. As for the gravy, think dark brown, starchy goodness that clings onto the noodles and ingredients with ease but isn’t overwhelming on the palate!
