Stepping into this dim sum spot is like stepping into a time portal and entering into a Hong Kong-style cafe in the 1980s. You won’t go wrong with familiar favourites such as Pork Belly Buns, Chee Cheong Fun, Shrimp Dumplings and Pork Ribs. Besides their dim sum, the other highlight is their White Pepper Crab Bee Hoon. A stone’s throw away from Geylang East Food Centre, Ma Kee Homemade Paus have over 20 years of history doling out light and fluffy handmade baos. The classic Char Siew Bao carried small chunks of meat coated in a sauce that’s more savoury than the usual. Fans who prefer their Char Siew more savoury than sweet will surely enjoy this! The Tau Sar Pau was just well-filled within with a sweet-tasting centre and great texture.
