#2 Seng Kee Ngo Hiang Prawn Cracker

#3 Hup Kee Wu Xiang Guan Chang

Hup Kee Wu Xiang Guan Chang has been in business for over 70 years, with its roots as a pushcart stall before World War II. Today, they are one of two remaining stalls that still serve the Hokkien version of ngoh hiang, as opposed to the usual Teochew style which is more common in Singapore. Some other must-trys include the pink sausage, liver rolls and neng kway (egg lard cakes) which are all handmade everyday!

Third-generation owner Matthew Liu is currently leading the business, which was established more than 70 years ago. Founded in the 1950s, You can choose from a variety of handcrafted ngoh hiang options, such as chewy sausage or crispy fried prawn crackers. Remember to also take some of the chilli dipping sauce too! #8 China Street Fritters

Recently reopened in Telok Blangah, China Street Fritters has gained a dedicated following of regulars from their days at Maxwell Food Centre. A must-try is their guan chang, or Hokkien-style sausage, and other yummy items such as meat roll, liver roll, fish ball, and bean curd are yummy too. Or, you can also get a set. The Set D is good two people and includes two plates of bee hoon, ngoh hiang, liver roll, century egg, beancurd, egg slices, and guan chang.

This busy stall attracts a steady queue during peak hours. Their beehoon is said to be delicious and very flavourful, and there are lots of options to choose from. This stall in Choa Chu Kang has been around for over 10 years and still attracts a queue. The wu xiang here slightly greasy and sinful, but dishes like the prawn crackers are oh-so-satisfying with an appetising sweet-savoury-shrimpy flavour. It comes with a handmade sauce that is just the right balance of sweet, spicy, and savoury flavours, along with crushed peanuts for texture.
