#2 Rise & Grind Coffee Co.

Located in Oasis Terraces, Punggol, Rise and Grind’s menu is specially created to serve your every meal, with nutritious breakfast sets for breakfast or brunch, mouth-watering cakes and desserts for tea time, and filling mains for lunch and dinner. #5 Gram Cafe & Pancakes

Hailing from Osaka, Gram is famous for its pancakes, each 4 cm tall, and becomes a towering display when stacked. They are slow-cooked on low heat and whipped full of air, which results in a fluffy texture which is like a cloud or cotton candy. #6 Vibes Café

Located at Punggol Town Square, Vibes Café is a joint venture with Kiztopia Kids Club, a playground for kids. The spot is perfect for friends who want some alone time while their kids are playing. #7 Fat Po

Run by the same folks behind Whisk & Paddle, Fat Po features a menu that is more Asian-centric. Its extensive menu also features lok lok, such as the Lok Lok Classic Set which comes with Tiger Prawns, Pork Belly, Broccoli and Abalone Mushroom. While it doesn’t fully replicate the JB lok lok experience,  it makes for a good substitute with its range of fusion cuisine.

#8 Slappy Cakes

Slappy Cakes was founded in Portland, Oregon in 2009, offering a fun dining concept where diners can customize their own pancakes. With built-in griddles at each table, diners can craft their own designs and watch their imagination come to life. Its batters, which are made fresh, come in easy-to-handle tubes and are available in a variety of flavours such as Whole Grain, Buttermilk, and Chocolate. To inject some local flavour, the menu in Singapore also includes a Pandan-flavoured batter. There is also a wide selection of sweet and savoury “fixins” such as chocolate chips, banana, sausage, bacon, roasted mushrooms and blueberries that go well with the pancake.
